I think I'll differentiate between cheesy and syrupy songs. Cheesy for me would be Arms of Orion (I still like it), Gold and Silly Game . Songs like Betcha By Golly Wow are syrupy. Oh, and then there's the corny songs like Style which I kinda like anyway.

Don't Talk to Strangers is a great song, but the line about not crossing on the yellow and waiting for the green light is kinda cheesy to me. Or at least something that shouldn't really be in a song. Very un-deep lyrics, its common sense.

I have no idea about that obscure shit yall are talking about...but "Slow Love" in my opinion is cheesy, kinda sexy though, it's true.."Gold" is embarrassing, as is "Diamonds and Pearls".

"Another Lonely Christmas" is pretty pathetic in my opinion..I'm gonna disagree about "Three Chains O' Gold"...I really dig this song, but find that alot of Prince fans don't...however, most non-Prince fans that I have played it for thought it was pretty good, or atleast original.

Does anyone find that the extended versions of Love Bizarre and America delve into the cheese towards the ends of those songs? When Love Bizarre goes into Are you sleeping? I turn it off. I mean I appreciate that the songs are long and are not the typical 80's 12 faire, but go on just a tad too long.
