Let's Have a Baby? Come on, that's one of the sweetest songs I've ever heard.

Dolphin? May not be the greatest lyrically, but it's easily one of the most addictive pop rock songs I've ever heard from him.

When You Were Mine? WTF? Pussy Control? Endorphinmachine? Gold?

Come on ppl! These are some of his most infectious songs around.

The only songs that sound really lame from him to me are ones with his or Tony's shitty rapping basically.

Other songs here that ppl are mentioning may not have deep lyrics, but they're so totally fun, gorgeously melodic and/or energetic that they don't have to be.

The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

I don't usally post or have anything to say however, I've gotta speak.

I've always said, " there isn't anything cheesy as prince can be, when he's being cheesy".
I agree with most of you with with your choices, but one thing to consider.

Prince is very diverse, he does ALOT of music, and you would think he would not want to
repeat himself.

Being that there is so many different styles and cultures of music at different times of life you must ask yourself,

Where do these songs belong in the world of music.

"Courtin' Time" a cheesy song? Imagine what it would have sounded like in the 40's with
Bigband Jazz being the bomb! "SLAMMIN!!!"

"Slow Love", A song that would have kicked many pants in the 60's & 70's R&B soul charts.

How about that cheesy song that dosen't really belong anywhere?

Well isn't that kinda cool anyway? One of the reasons we listen in the first place?

I'm not saying anyone is wrong, however I agree with some of them, But think about those things when listening.

I never was to big a fan of "Theives In The Temple", Have you heard the anger in that track?
It's pretty real.

"Grafitti Bridge" is very cheesy considering I'm not into musicals.

Being that I love so many kinds of music, Prince seems to mix it up right and helps me appreciate more of his so called cheese and has also helped broaden my musical tastes.

Can't believe that nobody has already mentioned this song, but the song "Right the Wrong" has got to be the cheesiest Prince song ever. I admit that I dislike the song, in part, since I don't like country music, but this song is just cheesy with a capital "C". Especially when Prince says, "Yeehaaaw!". Makes me want to barf. This is one of the few Prince songs that refuse to listen to, in fact, I skip over it most times. lol

La, La, La, He, He, Hee - The near-eleven minute full-length version is one of his best tracks ever;
The Most Beautiful Girl In The World - Pop perfection - not the awful album version though.

I like yr thinkin'...totally agree with all of this! The "beaker moment" is classic.

Ok I re-heard it and it isn't as bad as I thought it was orginally, but it's still weak, and I personally don't get much feelings from it, it's pretty weak, and could have been re-placed with another track.
