Erotic city question I've heard that there has been debate on the lyrics to Erotic City. Someone tell me the correct lyrics..."we can fuck until the dawn" or "we can funk until the dawn". It's not that important, but I do like to sing the correct lyrics. Anyone know? | |

hmmm, I have always believed he was using f*ck and funk interchangably throughout the entire song. I just think most people focused on the dirty word and dispelled the other. | |

Sounds like both are being said. Fuck and Funk layed over each other. When he has sang it live it definetly sounds like fuck. |

I remember talking with a local radio DJ about this song.I joked "How could you guys play a song like "Erotic City" with the word "fuck" in it?".The DJ said that Prince and Sheila were really singing "We can funk " and that he had the official lyric sheet to prove it.
