Does anybody remember this story from 2001? In any case, this is for you to learn/recall the story. From www.launch.com

According to the magazine's sources, the two artists have "always respected each other's work and see this as a chance to combine their talents." Via his own personal website npgolineltd.com however, Prince comes out swinging against the US Weekly article, saying he "Is SO NOT recording on Mike's next project." Sony Records still has to set a release date for Jackson's album, which has already been pushed back several times. Just because Prince is not appearing on Jackson's album does not mean he doesn't respect the work the "King of Pop" does. When asked who he thinks would win in a fist fight between the two, Prince answered the light-hearted question with dignity: "We should all just kind of, like, chill, because it's, you know, he may know something none of us really know, and just, like, let's wait and see. Let's wait it out, you know, just wait it out. You never know, right? You just never know. Ultimately we all got to come back home, so let's just make a home for everybody. No, but I should right hook him when he gets there, right?" -- Bruce Simon, Chad Dougatz, New York _____ FYI, the quote comes from the "my name is back Prince" press conference from May 2000. COMPETITION? lol. aint no comp. Its like comparing grapes to watermelons. Micheal pays millions to buy other peoples talent. Hes a dancer and a singer. I know a dancer and singer from my church.  | |

that article is incorrect. i remember that press conference and here is what happened:
stuttering john from the howard stern show shouts out, "if you and michael jackson were in a fight, who would win?" prince replies, "michael is not a fighter he is a lover (a reference to the song the girl is mine)." i thought that was a pretty good reply myself. | |
