Prince showwww.

I thought the guy who played Prince was pretty good.
Janet playing Paula Abdul reminded me of her Dr. Rice impression.

Prince showwww. Hey, was it supposed to be like Chappelle Show? lol

pretty funny...

Liked the idea of a Prince talk show!

Janet as Paula Abdul was just ok

The other guest ok - I really liked how Prince kept disappearing (I'm sure Prince likes that 1 too!)

also - was it me or were there some serious background noise issues on the SNL set during the first 20-25 seconds...kinda got the crew a little off and why this piece was just slightly funny..

However, the Musicolgy Media Infusion continues...

Now he just needs to play SNL or make a cameo! Now that I'd like 2 see
The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

That skit had me rolling!

"Prince would like you to stand in that clam. Prince would like for you to hold this pearl."

The whole thing was a hoot.

Funny skit. I think they were playing him their props, it's SNL so they couldn't be all sappy about it.

That was HUMOR! I liked Janet as Paula, especially with the cutey smiling (and knowing that without Paula there would be no Janet as we know her -- hell, I stole moves from Paula's Laker Girls when I co-captain of high school drill team). Also loved how she couldn't keep a straight face when "Prince" wanted us to watch him cry...cuz I was hollering when Prince was doing those screams and he captured one of those patented pouty I'm-7-yrs-old looks just before he pulled out the hanky.

And "Steve Harvey" was QUITE humorous. And I LUV'D the Romper Room reference!

However, since I started writing this post, I discovered that Girl 6 is on another channel, then SNL did a Good Times parody. Now THAT was humorous!!! Same guy (Keenan?) who played Steve Harvey was Floriday..."Damn...damn...damn!" After knocking Black Jesus off the wall. Oh, that was a much needed laugh.

I didn't like the Good Times skit. That "Prince would like for you to watch him cry" was hilarious

Mentioned Tony too.

Fred Armisen is a musician (had a band, Trenchmouth and played drums for Blue Man Group). Any musician alive has to have respect for Prince, and it seems that Armisen must be a follower of P's to know all the side players...

Yea that Good Times skit was one of the best ones of the night. The were dead on the mannerisms of Florida Evens and Michael. I think a lot of that went over the head of the audience who was either too young or two white lol

I highly doubt that considering she is a Prince fan (I think she still is)? I think the skit is a loving comic tribute that points out Prince's unique idiosyncrasies. The guy (Fred Armesin, I think) really had the moves down pat so I assume he is a fan. You can't fake that kind of funk!

Kenan as Florida rocks! The black guys tend to have to play women a lot but they are always very good so I wouldn't suggest they change it. Got to make both Kenan and Finesse permanent on the show!
