I think these 2 songs would work well on this album. How would you guys fit these 2 songs into Musicology keeping the best flow in mind?

This is a good exercise to perform in order to realize that Musicology does not lack cohesion. Truth is, while both these songs are very strong, neither of them work on Musicology.

Nowhere! They don't work on Musicology and are much weaker than anything on the album, in my opinion.

Put "Magnificent" inbetween "If I Was The Man In Your Life" and "On The Couch"
Then tag "The Dance" on at the very end, after "Reflection". It makes for
a nice slow closingtrack.

Although I'm not convinced that "The Dance" works on this album [it is
obviously from a bit earlier].

However, I am convinced -200% even- that "Magnificent" is indeed a cut
from the sessions that brought forth most of the MUSICOLOGY songs.

It's evident throughout the whole song. That's why I don't understand how
people can call this a "Rave Outtake".

I mean, did you pour boiling wax into your ears before listening?

Ok, so it's not intended to be on the album. But neither was "17 Days"
deemed fit to go onto "Purple Rain". Still, it's one kick ass b-side and it
complements the whole span and scope of the album.

And, I don't understand much about all those vocal effects that one can
use in the studio, but I do hear what he sounds like. And he sounds like
post Rainbowchildren on that song. Not like Rave.

Um, "Livin' 2 Die" is a rave outtake....and it sounds like a Rave outtake. Magnificent sounds nothing like anything on Rave. For starters, the lyrics are light-years beyond anything to be found on Rave...not to mention the creative music. Rave, for the most part, was bland and without soul. I'm curious as to why you think it's a Rave outtake? You mentioned the vocals, but I sure don't hear that at all....listen to the drum programming for God's sake! This is SO not from Rave...if it was, it would have Kirky J all over it.

Aside from the "distorted" vocals, what makes you think this is a Rave outtake?

Shifting topic slightly, am I the only one who would rather eat my own puke than listen to The Dance? UGH.
