Who the hell is Duckie?

Prince makes a reference to Duckie in the song "Musicology" ("Duckie goin' be there, but you got to call 'em.") If memory serves me correctly, this isn't the first time we've heard of Duckie. Doesn't he say this in "Batdance," too? confuse "Hey Duckie, let me stick the 7 inch in the computer." Is this like a nickname for him or a just another one of his many pseudonyms?

i think it's just Dougie. i don't think he's referring to Doug E. Fresh either. Not in the same song as he namechecks real Musical legends like Jimi, JB and Sly. At least i hope not!. Alright he mentions JMJ and Chuck D, but RUN DMC and Public Enemy inhabit a different universe to the 'Get Fresh Crew'! lol

What? It is Doug E. Recall Doug E. worked with Prince on 1999 the New Masters. He also mentions Chuck D. in Musicology who did Undisputed with Prince.

According to this thread, http://www.prince.org/msg...sg_1507604 , it says "Dougie" (from the Musicology t-shirt) and not "Doug E." or "Duckie," so once again...

Who the hell is this person and why do I have to call him in order for him to be there?! bawl
