It's very good. I bought mine at the ol' NPG Store on Lake Street back in '95, recommended to me by the guy behind the counter (whoever he was, I thank him!). cool

That's the one with Bump Squad, Hallucination Rain and Count the Days, isn't it?

Those are some great songs.

Anxiety

Some cool songs, but I can never get into it. Maybe one day it'll click...seems like everything from that era takes me years to appreciate.

Fantastic cd with some hardcore funk. Shame we'll never get to hear most of it live again due to the (sometimes) excessive profanity.

How much is Prince on either of the NPG albums? I've heard a few tracks and thought I heard him, but are those the exceptions?

well in the albums Gold Nigga And exodus you can barely hear P , sometime son background vocals
and also in alot of skits , like playing the italian at the restaurante with the mash potato girl! Classic!
but basically you can only feel his presents, on the keyboard on the guitar
his presents is more felt then heard

Sonny t had a surprisenly good voice as he sings leads on a couple of the tracks! "Count the days" is still a great song as is "Return of the bump squad", "The good life" and "Get wild"! Last track very weird (lyrically), but very powerful on chorus and overall song quite uplifting actually!

Better than "Goldnigga"?, no way, but the 2 albums are completely different but still both very funky! The exodus is more p funk but gotta love both Goldnigga and Exodus! Gotta love "Deuce and a quarter","call the law","Johnny" and the bootlegged "Something funky this house comes" which is obviously around the Goldnigga sessions (except Rose Gaines is on that track so maybe a year or so earlier!)

"End of disscussion"

I'm pretty sure Prince's vocal is just under Sonny's on Count the Days, kind of sharing the lead.

I've always liked Exodus. For me it's the best of the NPG albums.

yeah, Exodus is the best NPG album! 1995 was a great, but bit strange Prince-year by the way. What i especially like about Exodus en the European tour is the raw, arrogant way Prince performed, and not to forget his Tora-Tora look! Coooool!!
