It said that Princes limo almost ran down Micheal jacksons family in the back alley behind the Theater. It said Prince was desperatly tryin to make his entrance before Micheal. Anyone else hear about this?

I thought it was embarrasing from start to finish. First of all, MJ came onstage and was very classy. He sang a little and danced just for a second and the crowd loved it. Then in sharp contrast to that classy performance, Prince came up there and got totally carried away with himself, and forgot it was a JB audience, not one of his. While trying to play the oversized guitar, he took his shirt off (trying to be sexy) and no one seemed to care. He threw that glove in the audience and it got thrown right back at him...ouch!

Then if that wasn't bad enough...when he was leaving the stage he tried to swing around on that big lampost prop and knocked it over into the audience. It was just a train wreck of a performance. I haven't rewwatched it in 10+ years, because it is just too uncomfortable and definitely not one of Prince's best moments.

I always wondered how the guitar solo was ..'cause mine had no sound..lost that damn thing.

Do you think that we could get a petition to get this into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Prince could donate the outfit!

Think about it.At that moment he did "look" great, and if he was indeed wasted even THAT he did with gusto , With his idol AND his arch rival ing him!

He grabs the lampost like a big phallic microphone and goes down in flames..riding off into the sunset like the like only the greatest sexual soul performer of all time could.

Maybe you should let represent the flying glove for now.

I've actually heard the rumor that there was a flying over the theater at that EXACT moment JB called him up onstage. Only in New York.

I have a very short clip of this very video but the one i have is very poor and has the video numbers running at the bottom of it is this the one every one is talking about or is there a better copy out there if so would some one let me know i thank you...

I dont really see to much of a problem with the guitar playing, he does ok considering it aint his guitar, its slung to far down for him, I know different guitars shouldnt make a big difference to a good guitarist,but if the string guage was a lot different or the action height was higher ,it had a thicker neck these things could make a difference,you get used to your own guitar.I have a Tele and its necks quite thin as my hands aint that big and I played on some1s SG and it was a right handfull I struggled abit. I suppose also with nerves etc and perhaps playing to something he aint played along with b4 it may have just been a little awkward for him. Not that I'm making excuses like.
