Is Come On a "Camille" song....

It sounds out of place on NPS. Does anyone have any history or background on this song?

He uses a slightly speeded-up voice, similar to the one associated with Camille. But a lot of us seem to forget that "Camille" wasn't just an altered voice, he/she was an alter ego. Camille also did "Bob George, " which is done with a really deep voice.

So to answer your question, "Come On" is not Camille. The voice sounds similar, but this song has nothing to do with Camille's personality. It's a mature Prince talking to a wild young girl.

You're not missing much, aside from "Wasted Kisses", "Come On" and "The One". The rest is friggin' filler.

Back to the topic:

No, "Come On" isn't a "Camille" track. The song is not credited to this alter-ego, although the voice is similar. "Come On" was recorded in late summer of 1997, and was played at several afterparties, over the PA, during this time (along with "Mad Sex" and "eye Like Funky Music"). Hope this helps.
