Who here thinks the single Musicology will hit #1 in the pop charts?? Me thinks, it will!! And the album as well!!

You're kidding, right?
Two words keep Musicology from being #1 pop hit potential: A hook I love the album, but Musicology doesn't have that hook. Number ones like Toxic, Hey ya, they all have that addictive hook to them. Musicology's more of a solid, laid back funk groove. It's nothing great. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

I love the song, but I don't even think it will crack the top 10. Who knows though! The song's funky - maybe the kids will be ready to eat something new up for a change? | |

While I don't think it will reach #1 on the POP chart, I have no doubts it will reach #1 on the POOP chart.....in fact, it might be there already. | |

This song doesn't stand a chance on the pop charts. It's just not strong or catchy enough. I agree with the earlier post which spoke to the funk, laid back vibe. It's not a dance track; it has absolutely no hook whatsoever. I didn't like the song at first, but it has grown on me. It hasn't grown on me to the point that I feel like it'll reach #1 on the pop charts. Maybe i'll do something on the adult contemporary chart. There are so many damn charts these days.....
