Don't get me wrong I used to dig Wendy and Lisa but someone brought this up that they should play with Prince again. The reality is that Prince is not only concerned with musicianship like he might claim. In the case of the female musicians in the band, unless you are Rosie Gaines you will be 90 lbs, wear tight clothes and stilletto heals just like I saw Rhonda Smith and Candy Dulfer wearing Tuesday night;.I was right by the steps that Rhonda came down for breaks, a stage hand had to help her down the stairs, and I have never seen heels that tall and skinny in my life. The girls pay their dues alright. And whatever your feelings about Mayte are, remember how slutty she dressed onstage, my quess is that he picked her stage costumes too.

Pretty much. Well said. Like I mentioned in another thread...I don't need to seem them on the same stage again..but if they could just do some studio stuff together and put it out. That would be perfect.

Even if Wendy & Lisa wore bin bags and didn't brush their hair, they would still attract more interest than Rhonda & Candy in skirts and high heels.

I'm not being critical of Rhonda & Candy, what I'm saying is if it was true that Prince used women in the band to attract the crowd, well the familiar names of two of the most prominent band members and collaborators he has ever worked with, that would be a bigger crowd pleaser than high heels and make-up.
