Help wanted with songtitles.

I have recently downloaded some "rare" tracks from P2P, but i can't confirm the songtitles from any webpage or Per Nielsen book. Can U help me ? Here it goes ..

Make it through the storm
Loving U
Jammin' 4 U
We can work it out
Cookie jar
When the lights go down

Any information besides confirming the trackname would be C O O L .

Thx y'all

Well....

'Make it through the storm' is also known as 'Storm', from early demos before "For You".

'When the lights go down', not that rare, it's on 'The Vault: Old Friends for Sale'. Is this a different version?

Don't know the rest.

some geeklette's gotta do it...

Make it through the storm--demo, circa for you--1977.

Loving U--there's "i spend my time loving you"--someone must've not understood the title in full. anyhoo, that's one of the "boombox demos", circa 1976...very sweet song, i just got a hold of this one myself.

Jammin' 4 U--err, never even heard of this one--boris?

We can work it out--another demo, circa 1977 or so. p made this one soon after he signed with warner bros., hence the whole "making music naturally, me and w.b." (eerily prophetic in a way, with that explosion sound effect at the end giggle)

Cookie jar--demo, circa 1988-89

When the lights go down--this one's on the vault album, if i remember right...

...you're welcome. geek

It's an instrumental, so the title could B all wrong.
I'm at work, but i'll check how long it runs when I get home.

Well Cookie Jar is Cookie Jar. It is a George Clinton tune(or some sort of collaboration with Prince) and he does perform it at his concerts.

...what Dansa said. smile

...as for "Jammin' 4 U" , there's no song officially called that, but if it's an instrumental,
it could be anything (Prince has made a heap of untitled instrumentals over the years).
It would be difficult to guess without hearing it, but if you say how long it is I could make
an educated guess.

It clocks in at 2.05. It sounds like some early 80's stuff!

I'm pretty sure "Jammin For You" is an early demo of the instrumental section at the end of "Just as Long as We're Together" on For You. Sometimes it's also called "Jelly Jam."
