Question about the new album... I haven't gotten my copy yet (I'm holding out until I go to the concert or April 20th), but I was wondering...is Prince playing all the instruments on this album or is there any help from his band members (John, Candy, Rhonda, etc)?  | |

There's horns and female backing vocals on it, so I'm guessing Prince didn't do EVERYthing himself on it. | |

John Blackwell is probably on drums. The horns are by his horn section - and it's rumoured that in the final retail version Beyoncé Knowles will be replacing Prince's lead vox on "If I Was The Man In U'R Life"... | |

That Beyonce bit has gotta be bullshit, right. I mean c'mon. Beyonce's a doll, but I don't want her a part of a Prince record. It just doesn't seem like a tool that Prince would use. Like all of the collabo's on Rave. Clive davis is cool and all....but that advice was horrible. Just cuz it worked for Santana don't mean it'll work for everyone, espicially Prince who has always managed to make his own crew. | |
