I've said it before but this is the most positve mainstream coverage Prince has recieved since the Diamonds & Pearls era. It doesn't matter how well the album sells (did it matter how much the "Lovesexy" album sold? It's a classic classic)-the man is making $$$$ off of the tour anyway. I am having so much fun as a fan right now. Anyone else?

Yup. I never had any huge expectations for this year, just a wait and see attitude. I LOVE being pleasantly surprised. All of the television performances have been great, the L.A. telecast was phenomenal, and the album is a good, solid, fun Prince record. I'm happy for him that he's finally getting a lot of overdue respect. cool

Let's not go nuts, apart from a couple of high-profile TV performances, nothing is set in stone yet.

The album isn't on the shelves yet, this could be another Rave, Emancipation etc.

One hopes it doesn't follow suit, but you know.

co-Sign My breh
Prince has always been around, this aint no Come-back!
And in alot of Fams Opinion D&P was a Sellout album Ask Tommy B And Sonny T!
Musicology P is staying true to himself
its not a sellout C.D.
Prince has been around since 02 and 03 Problem is he wasn' getting the coverage he should of got?
i heard on T.V. this was his First tour in 6 years? where the hell have i been then?
Hit N Run Tour? One Nite Alone Tour? shyt the Celebration Wasn't a tour felt like one tho!
Soon as P gets a Major Label to distribute his stuff he getting all this publicity if it was when the rainbow children came out he didn't get shizzle!
P is just Playing the Game now, He's out to school the world
so he used a label to launch him back into "Mainstream" with a "Non-mainstream" sound
if he acomplishes what he's setting out to do we might see the collapse of a musical empire
structured with no-talent producers
Welcome 2 the dawn fellas

Hey chica when something in quotes, for example if I said I was "smart", that means that the word in quotes is being used in a special way. I put quotes around "cameback" to show you that I don't think he went anywhere but the general public/press does.

This Musicology project has already been handled better, and promoted more effectively, than Emancipation and Rave. The tour is on fire.

"It's so much fun to see your idol make $$$?"

No. It's so much fun to see my idol in a simulcast concert, an electrifying tour, the rock and roll hall of fame induction, various TV appearances, a reunion with Wendy, and a kick ass new album. I'm actually losing $$$$ because of it all....
