Prince - No. 1 on Billboard

On the Billboard "Top Pop Catalog Albums", Issue date April 10, 2004, "The Very Best of Prince" is Number 1 (up from number 2 last week). It's been awhile, but it's still nice to see.

I'm not 2 sure I like this.

NOT because it's WB making the most $, but because they BUTCHERED his songs. I never did (and never will) get this CD.

Just the fact that they sliced "Adore" is a crime.

Wasn't even When Doves Cry sliced?

The point is, the people who don't know Prince's songs will think these are the way they were released.

I'm just glad I still have (and use) my turntable!

Peace.

As i said in the new year. Prince's back catalouge will sell more than anything new he releases this year. the hardcore fams are the only ones interested in musicology at the end of the day... joe public wants the skinny muthafucker with the hight voice.

DUH!!,thats obvious since the tour is being advertised as the last time that prince will play his hits(hint-hint)! But b4 u think that u r nostrademus the musicology cd has yet 2 b released nationally, and this basically happens with all of the old school giants when they come out with a new release, the stones, aerosmith, kiss, metalica etc.,etc.! Joe public will buy both so u can go and runandtelldat!

U are speaking of The Hits collection from 1993. It consisted of mostly single edits (which many of them made their cd debut on this package). I'm glad 2 have those mixes, but really want remasters.

"top pop catalogue albums"??? Do they have a chart for everything over there? I guess next he'll be number 1 on the "top pop-funk album by barking religious fanatic" chart...

Ahhh...not for long tho. I see Musicology, Dear Mr. Man, and perhaps Illusion...on Soul Train soon. Cuz they are fonky beats. and real

and joe public don't know nuttin' bout that...that's why the member seating. Better chance of getting a real fan than somebody who got tix's kid who was free that night. Tho many musicians have been born from that experience too.

I do believe Musicology will sell more. Whenever black radio supports Prince, he's done well. I heard Musicology during the hours of 5-7PM...Prime time. Ya know I had to sit in the car and listen to most of it (was trying to make it back home for NCAA for the game...and to watch Okafur).

When a song make ya shake it in the car, it's cool.

Musicology makes ya wanna ack like you're JB or PRN...Illusion...makes ya wanna shake it...Mr. Man has a true head-nodding, "yuuuup," feature to it...

Thank P. Rave was leading up to this...I appreciate & luv ya.
