On The Couch kills me/doesnt beg This is church..them horns--that vocal delivery--the plaintive...this is all of Prince's longing songs all wrapped into one traditional song. Another classic is born. How could he have said Call My Name is his fav (another classic)? Prince 's longing songs are just that. He never comes off as a beggar like Keith Sweat. With Keith you wanna say "quit beggin mfka and get up and go to work lazy!"

Oh MAN I agree with you...I was just thinking today that someone needs to start a thread in here about how glorious "On The Couch" is....some people were disparaging the studio track in favor of the live version, but I don't understand why.
The production on here is so invigorating and fun...he's fucking scat singing the horn lines fer Chrissakes!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE it. And I agree with you that it's better than Call My Name as well (although that one is as well a Prince classic IMO). Oh, and good to see yer sexxy asss 'round these parts!! Missed you!
