This song bumps. Why do so many people give it so much flack? I mean, how can you dog on a song that says "all the purple hippies bang your heads on the one!"

nothing wrong with it at all.

well, I cut off Candy at the intro and its much better.. it just starts off with drums.. I like it better that way.

Funky uptempo beats .Its a good song 2 start the show .

It's just a fun party song -- nothing to hate about it, IMHO. I like it. Especially the first line:

I think it's the weakest song onthe album but I still like it. I dont skip it. However, you need a good system to play it with all that bottom end because it sounds really bad on a weak system.

I love it..i hope its the next single.btw i think this song is going to be a big hit because like a lot of big hits it has everybody reacting to it..lots of people say they hate it and lots of people say they love it..i think this song has gotten the most reaction both ways than any other song on the album (besides Musicology)

anyone hearing "Nasty Girl" in the chorus?

I LOOOOOVE this song! I don't understand why people compare this to Freaks on This Side or Jughead (well, somebody did!). This track is a funky electro dance tune. I even like it better than Illusion, Coma, ...

By the way, I think Candy's singing the chorus is splendid. It adds a lot to the song!

ELBOOGY: if you haven't heard the album yet, there are more rock tracks on this album in comparison to Rave or TRC, and they are better than say Baby Knows IMHO.

I think the song is ok but why O why did he strip away the whole latin thing he had going with it when he performed it live last year??

The congas and whistles and funky little latin rythym thing he had going rocked! And that funky horn line is gone too !! The album version is just a little too vanilla for me...but the rap is still cool.

I'll give it props alright. How about the woodchucking machine in Fargo?

I actually dig it. Its much better live, but I still dig the studio recording. I think this is what P was trying to accomplish (and failed miserably) on NPS. Just a fun little party number. It easily could have been just another crappy song in the vein of "Push It Up", but the drum line saves it. As BKW pointed out, you need a good system to really hear the bottom, but it is soooo slammin! Oh, and the "all the Purple hippies..." line is classic Prince!
