Npgmc not down with OSX So anyone get the pay downloads to work with MAC OSX. I can't get it to work...any tips. Funny, I once read a article where Prince was asked what kind of computer he uses; he said "I Only Use MACS..."
I clearly remember that....so who knows. Help me out Nero

Well, there's a disclaimer on a pop-up at the Sony Music UK site, stating that the downloads won't play on a Mac.

Yes. The pay downloads WILL work in OS X 10.3.3. I've bought tracks and it does work.
1. Make sure Internet Explorer is set as your default browser. To do this, open Safari and open Preferences. There's a drop-down menu there for setting your default browser. 2. Make sure you've downloaded the latest version of Windows Media Player 9 for Mac OS X. Just do a search in Google for "windows media player mac os x" and you'll find the page on Microsoft's site. It's free. 3. Buy the tracks from the club using IE 5. 4. On the pages where you can download the tracks, control-click the "download" button and select "download link to disk." The filenames are crazy long, so rename the files and make sure to have .wma as the extension. 5. Double-click the one of the .wma files you downloaded. WMP 9 will open, then will appear to quit, and Internet Explorer will open. Follow the instructions. You'll end up at a page that says something like "You have received a license to play this file. Click the play button below." However, there will be no play button. 6. Quit Explorer. Open WMP9. Choose "File > Open" and pick the file that you just got a license for. It will open and play. If the file is part of an album, all other files for that album will play without going through all this. 7. Unfortunately, WMP 9 for Mac OS X will play the .wma files but does not support CD burning. If you want to burn a CD, you'll have to technically break the law (although PP9 posted that the club supports doing this for personal use only) and use software like Audio Hijack: http://www.rogueamoeba.com/audiohijack/ It's $16 and can be used to convert any audio that your Mac can play into a .wav or .aif file that you can move into iTunes, convert to an AAC or MP3 file for your iPod, etc. If you need more help, orgnote me. Check out The Mountains and the Sea, a Prince podcast by yours truly and my wife. More info at https://www.facebook.com/TMATSPodcast/
