Prince is best when produced, composed, arranged and per4med by himself.

I am not saying that his music collaborations aren't needed or quality, but if I had to choosed I'd want an album of Prince by himself. When Doves Cry anyone?

INCORRECT!

You're comparing 1984 Prince to 2004 Prince! Oh, yes, Skywalker, once Prince was better by HIMSELF-"Sign o' The Times" the album, proved his solo strength. But starting with "Gold Experience", it started to show that he NEEDED that backup!

Solo studio work used to be a strength with Prince, but now it's a weakness. His new band brings too much to the table for him to egotistically ignore them. Prince on his own sounds like "Rave", or "Emancipation" in this era. Prince with a band sounds like "ONA-Live", or the "Alladin" DVD. No Contest!!

Search your feelings, Skywalker, You know it to be true!" mexican

Sometimes it Snows in April
Purple Rain
17 Days
Power Fantastic
All my Dreams

Those are a handfull of songs that make me wish he'd work with Wendy and Lisa again on NEW MUSIC (before some wanker says "that's in the past") They were awesome at pushing him harder to sound different than anyone else.

Its ironic that u assume they could collaborate to make music that would be as deep and challenging as their mid 80's work. Wendy and Lisa are older now just like Prince, and I'm sure they hear things differently now. With that type of logic, if all of the Beatles were alive a reunion album would be as challenging as Abbey Road. If you want that past sound u will have to pick up old albums. It's not fair to expect people to be able to recreate a sound that was as challenging as the one they created 18-20 years ago. It amazes me that some people assume that Prince and Wendy and Lisa would be on the same page today and that W&L would be able to push Prince musically. It could be safe to assume that both parties have stagnated in different ways.

He may be starting fresh. Remember back in the Controversy/Dirty Mind era, Prince had a good band but didn't use them in the studio until 1999. He may record with the new band and work with them in the studio as a band in the future. Only time will tell.

I guess the irony there that you seem to see. Would it have been an assumtion in December had someone said that Wendy and Prince could sit next to each other with acoustics and have one day of rehearsal and still sound beautiful together? For you that probably would have been an assumtion too right?

Wendy and Lisa are top notch composers and musicians it's no assumtion that the three of them could, chemistry is chemistry so that's what I have to say about that.

True indeed, but it is Ironic that he wrote Reflection without them.

Maybe you should look up the word "ironic" and how it should be used. hmmm The point seems to have flown over your head.
