Life of the Party is great! But I guess its a little like how everyone dogs on NPS, and I really enjoy that cd.

I also think Musicology is pretty exciting....don't get me wrong, I love all Prince music, but its wonderful to hear him sing just good ol' love songs again.

Well I like "Come On" from NPS but hate LOTP (and ICPC for that matter) Only part that's funky is the little breakdown towords the end. It's another one of those "corny" Prince party songs he made far too many of in the 90's.

yes it may be as little corny, but it is still a great song. I love his vocals, very funky, and it has a good groove to it. As with all of Prince's albums some fans gravitate to a certain Prince style others prefer another. That is why some for every Prince song someone hates, it is someone else favourite.
Except for Jughead.

life of the party = funky, tight-clothes-fitting arse wigglin groove.

puts sex, and more importantly, foreplay in my mind straight away (as does most of princes funky tracks)

well...I didn't like LOTP at the first listening...BUT now, after 5 or 7 spinnings...yeah..it's cool..specially that theSuntheMoonAndtheStars-rap-like part

i'm diggin it... i just wish the drum beat wasn't so blah... it's just kinda there, instead of really standing out like the drums in "what do you want me to do"...

if you're gonna use a drum machine, make it say something... otherwise, stick with a real drummer...
