Okay, maybe I'm just not knowledgeable but can someone please help me:

I've downloaded Musicology and they come in .wma files. How can I convert into .mp3 so that I can burn cd's (using Nero) and the music into iTunes to get them on my iPod?

It pisses me off that now that I've purchased the music, I still cant listen to it! Please help!

I really struggled with Nero as well.
I used Roxio Easy CD Creator and they worked perfectly.

Just make sure you edit two seconds off the end of each track or you will still have that dead time WMP9 added. It's not perfect but it sounds much better than playing the album with those two second delays between each track.

And remember all solutions to this problem are illegal as they all violate the digital millennium copyright act. In a futile attempt to prevent illegal downloads, they require many people to violate the law to listen to the music. I flat out refuse to buy the music until this is addressed. How can the solution to people breaking the law require people to break the law?

I'm going to try that and then I'm going to put the files up on kazaa, so other people won't have to pay for this crap, like I did. I can't get my damn ten dollars back, but I can make NPGMC lose money by doing that.

if u burn a cd then rerip it back, there will b some compression loss. if it sounds ok to u go for it. I use total recorder which is a application that catches sound digitally before it exits the soundcard on ur computer as an analog signal. U need to record the songs in real time as a mp3 or wav. i prefer wave and then recompress as a vbr mp3 128-320.

I do agree that this breaks the drm but I did pay for the music legally and I will listen to it on my ipod. I will not and do not intend to upload the trax on kazaaa or any other filesharing program. drm only hurts or hinders the honest buyer of digital music. the theives will find workarounds and musicology is already floating around out there for downlaod.

I paid for my copy of musicology by going to the sat concert, however I also d/l it form npgmc as well as a few other offerings cuz i missed out on those songs the first time aound and I support prince's efforts to go independant. I hope the music store grows by leaps and bounds. I hope he will offer more mac friendly formats as well.

If ur a fan, why would u do that? if ur not satisfied, thats cool but why put it on kazaa, why give prince the idea next time around to not release music over the net? support online legitimate ways of purchasing music legally and the prices willl drop, and the quality will rise.
