I know it was a week ago, but I'm still asking. When Dhani Harrison said he wanted to hug Prince after the Guitar Weeps song, why did somebody say no, was it because P was already gone or something else. The guy just wanted to show his admiration.

first of all, you didn't hear ANYBODY say "no" to dhani wanting to hug Prince...secondly, the show was edited, so as far as we know, dhani could've gotten his wish.

Yes I did hear NO! I got a videotape you can't tell me what I heard! And for your info I wasn't being negative. That's what I'm talking about. I ask a question somebody comes up with a stupid answer!

There are a certain segment of fams on this site lately that just need to make their way to the NPGMC.

All I heard was : "where the hell is Prince, I wanna give him a big hug" There were plenty of peeps in the room, "No" might have just been over heard in the background.

Dhanis' face when Prince walked on was amazing.
it was like sheer acknowledgement

he maybe did want to hug Prince,,,but Prince had walked off.

Mybe Prince had thought he wasnt entitled to the crowds rapture,after all everyone else on the stage had been connected to Harrison (travelling Wilburys)
just my thoughts.

There was a flurry of people in that clip. Some could have easily been talking to someone else, not answering Dhani's question.

Dhani said , where the hell is prince? I want to give him a hug!
Then the girl in the background says no!... HELL NO!
Then Tom Petty goes over and slaps her like a pimp,
Prince punches him in the stomache,
zz top chokes prince with their beards.
It was a mess!!!!
