"Acknowledge Me" = "Don't Say U Love Me"

I just realized that a segment of both songs have an identical melody; and both songs were officially released; on "Crystal Ball" and "Martika's Kitchen," respectively. Are there any other occasions where officially released Prince songs share the same "line" or melody, without being an overt reference?

Now that you mention it, yeah these both have pretty much the same chorus! It could explain why "Acknowledge Me" was never included on an official album release. A good remark.

The obvious one is the closely similar melody of 'Manic Monday' with that in '1999'.

Pentacle

The verses of "Da Bang" have the same melody as those of the unreleased "On Your Own". And of course "Sugar Walls" = "Possessed."
