WHY IS IT THAT EVERY NEW RECORD MAKES ME APPRECIATE THE LAST ONE MORE? this seems to have become a pattern. especially with the rainbow children i notice. i couldn't tollerate that cd. now that i'm faced with "musicology" i can't stand this record. it makes TRC sound like magic. anybody else now appreciate TRC after hearing this new cd? | |

TRC was the most horrendous thing I've ever heard! Truly painful to listen to! I think one of the low points in his career. I think Musicology is pretty good stuff, havent really listened to it too much but it's definately Prince's sound & I like most of it! I cant see it having any real commercial success, but you never know! | |

I think your opinion is fair! I've had this same reaction ever since "Parade"! 
The best Prince albums seem to take a long time to warm up to. The ones you like right off the bat, seem to suck in time! :monkey:No? You probably came to appreciate/ or were stimulated by "TRC" more than you knew- it took this new stranger- "Musicology" to realize it. Perhaps you find Prince more "Interesting",say, than satisfying, or enjoyable nowadays! You don't need to defend how his newer music makes you feel-if that's what it does, then that's what it does. Ignore comments like "some people will never be satisfied". | |

I agree. This one is similar to RAVE imo in terms of sound (and HIGH, but not nearly as good). It makes me appreciate NPS, and that's hard to do!! HOWEVER, sometimes it takes me a while to get into an album. | |
