Sure, why not??...It's already got one hell of a thrust behind it, promotion-wise. The Grammys performance, the HOF performances and now his own concert have all received amazing reviews across the board...jumping on the Prince bandwagon will be the "In Thing" for journalist for a little while. As long as he makes some smart decisions as far as which songs to release as singles, don't see why it couldn't go platinum.

After you telling everybody in multiple threads over the past couple of weeks how much of a flop it's gonna be; no, why would it? neutral As long as you dig it why are you concerned with its sales? Not cool to listen to it if it's not platinum?

Why are you soooo concerned with how musicology will sell? First you said it'll flop, then you said it sucks, and on and on and on. What, are you on Warn A Brotha's payroll?
Like I said before, whatever it does sales wise, Prince is still gonna be here. Just enjoy the man and his music.
Man, I'm still on a high from Monday night.

Come on people. It's not hard to jump on orgers like this, and you Handclaps, in particular, should know better. you're a moderator so grow up.

Supernova, u know this person isn't making sense so why bother?

They've obviously realised that they've pissed some people off and decided to try to redeem themselves. Have u never made any mistakes?

Geez, lighten up. With all the crap threads and opinions expressed lately u'd think people could just let things be. Things always get screwy round here when new releases come out.

How about some love?

If not, fine. I'll be here in bkk, drinking a little Japanese beer, listening to Al Green or watching Last Samurai or Live At The Aladdin on DVD. join me if u wish.

the difference between what's exhibited in the initial post and a simple mistake--well, i really wouldn't call somethin like this makin a mistake...it's more like turnin a blind eye--is that when one makes a mistake, they don't keep callin bluff. this is the like 2nd time this cat has been "apologetic"...they immediately go right back to shootin the shit not too soon afterwards, so it's a no-go.

if folks were truly serious about wantin to know more about somethin then they wouldn't keep constantly ping-ponging back & forth between "it sux" and "i wanna know more" (super-emphasis on "it sux"), then be expected to be taken seriously. it ain't jivin.

My understanding is the CDs passed out Monday had a "promo copy - not for resale" pasted on them. If that's the case, they won't be counted. That's why they are called "promo" as promotion.

Boy! Its obvious that some of you guys can not read. My opinion of the single Musicology has not change. I am speaking of the album, i have not heard this album and can not make an opinion. So please stop making all of this dumb ass comments because, you do not know what the fuck you are talking about. I am a huge Prince fan, for life! And i am entitled to my own opinion. This thread ask about the album and the others were about the single "learn how to read"!Please! Thank! finger flipped off

First off, you didn't specify the Musicoology single, you just said Musicology, which if isn't specified as the single has to mean the album. it isn't our job to know what the hell you are talking about, it is your job to say what you mean. so the breakdown in communication is yours. so you earn a big finger for that.

besides, nobody has "platinum" singles, they have platinum albums. I don't believe singles go platinum. second finger for that.

and another finger for your last post, just for being defensive about your own mistakes.
this message brought to you by logic.

Please, spare me the life lessons.

This thread really wasn't a huge deal, but if you keep defending this waffler you'll make it one.

Geez, lighten up. With all the crap threads and opinions expressed lately u'd think people could just let things be. Things always get screwy round here when new releases come out.

If everybody adhered to your suggestion this would be a barren message board, don't you think? You HAVE TO know that not everybody is gonna let him do a 180 degree turn by ignoring his recent previous comments such as:

"And if you do not believe me, just wait to it all come's out, Musicology will not become a hit."

"U DON'T HAVE 2 HEAR AN ALBUM 2 KNOW IT'S RESULT."

How about some love?

If not, fine. I'll be here in bkk, drinking a little Japanese beer, listening to Al Green or watching Last Samurai or Live At The Aladdin on DVD. join me if u wish.

I got plenty of love, babe. Just bought me a remastered Al Green cd yesterday. SWEEEEET! Now don't discipline me. It hurts my feelings. sad
