Big Fat Fucking Prince Wannabe's

Who's da biggest prince wannabe on the planet?

I say it's Andre3000 nod .
Everything from his style, hair and dancing to his screams music and dress sense is a blatant Prince rip off. I wouldn't be suprised if he starts screaming OOOawahh in his songs or starts playing sets at First Avenue.
He's already riding around on a very Princey looking bike rolleyes

It used to be Terence Trent Diarby disbelief but now I'm pretty sure it's Andre3000 nod

I'll go down on u all night long..it's Automatic 69

U will ?!? omg

Yes i will Baby nod

Yeah, Andre3000 is definitely biting Prince's style, but most artist are not totally unique. Prince is not even exempt. He took his style from Little Richard, James Brown and Jackie Wilson, so it's all good.

compare and contrast:

I don't mind people being influenced by Prince. I'd copy Prince if I could. Or had any music talent whatsoever.

clapping Of course he never was no no no!. Everyone who thinks that never listened to his music or went to his shows. He is a brilliant artist in his own right and I never got it why people think he sounds so much like Prince. BTW, Prince himself was influenced by so many artists himself, so you could call him a wannabe of quite some artists.

ACTUALLY I remember him back when he had popularity saying that he was the NEW PRINCE and that he was going to do the same as him but on a much bigger scale - there is no doubt he wanted to be like prince...and then .....NOTHING! biggrin

The artists that made the most blatant rip off of the Prince sound and look are Georgio and Micki Free. Hands down.

TTD was not a clone - he was a old school soul singer when he first hit and he is the only artist that is nearly as prolific as Prince as a songwriter, instrumentalist and showman.

He wanted to be an artist who is allowed to release different genres of music and has control over his work and not one who tries to sell the most records by making the records record companies would want their artists to make (like Purple Rain Pt 2), that's why he respected Prince. He made brilliant albums throughout his career and still does and stayed true to himself, so all props to him worship
