I was watching one of the entertainment news shows last night and they were showing celebrities who'd come out to see Prince perform. One of them was Stevie Nicks. She's a big fan. Talking about him she seemed genuinely touched by his brilliance, and so moved that she said: "I'm going to cry."

Anyway, I had no idea she was a fan. So I was poking around the net and discovered that he inspired her to write "Stand Back." She said that he played synthesizer on it in the studio; but I'm not sure if it's him we hear on the actual recording.

He was so uncanny, so wild, he spoiled me for every band I've ever had because nobody can exactly re-create - not even with two piano players-what Prince did all by his little self."
