Sony Version Wishlist

Thought it would fun to list changes we'd like to see on a Sony version. As much as I love the CD, there are definitely a few things that would REALLY push it up there in my view.

1) Better artwork than what we've seen
2) Add a bridge to Musicology, maybe a sweet little Blackwell solo, I really think that's all the song needs to make it amazing
3) ICPC. I know lots of people love this track, and I love things about it, but it could use some new programming or something. Does reek a tiny bit of NPS, and that's good for no one...
4) Remix the rock songs, especially Million Days and Cinammon Girls. These are really nice songs-as-songs, but the production does lack bite. Boost the drums, and make the arrangements a little simpler, and maybe throw a more interesting chorus in CG.

And that's it, which again, is about 30 times shorter than any list I would've made for any P album released in the last 10 years. And I can't believe how much I'm posting about this CD. It's really reawakened the Prince dork in me.

This opinion always makes me wonder. I know Prince's covers are pretty generic these days, but what exactly is it people want? A miniature pop-up Prince replica on the cover?

My wish would be...Release the Cd with 2-3 extra trax...and the dvd from The Staple Center 3/29 show!

No edits to the promo copy of MUSICOLOGY, except maybe an exteneded version of Musicology- a longer intro perhaps...other than that!

Just throw 2-3 extra trax...and the dvd and I guarrantee a number 1 album by PRINCE!
Well regardless he will sell well!

the cover doesn't matter to me but, honestly, if he's going for a commercial hit he's gotta have something that grabs your attention. that thing with branches and his face is just awful, lol! the songs are great and the production is not as crystal clear as rave which is nice. a few extra tracks would be a nice bonus and, yeah, a dvd of the LA show would be a fantastic idea.

Sounds like U just need to go make your own album. Let us know how many copies U're able to sell.

I second that. Espiciallly the DVD...it was already simulcast...make some more money off of it.

I agree with the want for better mixes of the rock songs. They do lack bite. I hope he does add extra tracks cause there's one or two duds. PIMP kicks serious butt though.
