I have just watched Sky News and in their Showbiz news segment presented by that moronic Neil Sean, they had a small piece on Prince!!
Well its obvious he hasnt done his homework, cos a few of the facts he gave about Prince was totally wrong!!!

He said that he recently split with his wife!!!!

I am just about 2 give them a peice of my mind now!!!

Dear Sir,

I am writing to you to complain about your news item today on Prince in your Showbiz News segment.

First of all, can you tell me how you define the term "recently"?? It was 4 years ago now, when he divorced his first wife, Mayte!! He is now happily married to another beautiful woman, called Mani, since December 2001, who he has more connection with, mainly on a Spiritual level.
Since around 1998, he has become intently interested in Jehovahs Witnesses, with the help of legendary funk bass player Larry Graham who himself is one, so much so that Him and his wife have become Jehovahs Witnesses now, which is the MAIN reason why he does not perform sexually explicit songs or use swearing now, for which he was so famous for in the 80s and 90s!!! It is not just a case of image!!!!!
Also he now goes door to door evangalizing in his native Minneapolis, Minnesota, and anywhere else he might be at the time!! This is a far cry from from how he used 2 live in the 80s and 90s and his image as the worlds most famous reclusive rock star!!!

I have been a fan of his since Purple Rain was released, but became a true hardcore fan of his about 10 years ago, I consider myself a devoted Princeologist!! I am a member of his online Club(www.npgmusicclub.com) and also visit on a daily basis other Prince sites(www.prince.org, www.housequake.com, www.princefams.com being some examples). I email and instant message with loads of other Prince fans from around the world!! We are a very tight, close-knit worldwide community who all have the same mind, the same purpose and the same love both for each other and for Prince!!! I used to live in Minnesota, right near Minneapolis and I have even been to Paisley Park his world famous recording studio on a few occasions and I have even spoken to him!!! I have seen him live on many occasions, both here in the UK and in the USA!!!
Also u failed 2 mention that his new CD that u mentioned in your news item on him was called Musicology and he has started a huge US tour this week promoting it and did a huge wide screen simulcasting in all Regal Cinemas accross the USA of his first show at the Staples Center Arena in Los Angeles, in the same vein as what happened when Purple Rain was released 20 years ago as this year is the 20th Anniversary of Purple Rain and also 2 weeks ago Prince was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame!!!

I really do wish you would get your facts right before u start broadcasting them to the world!!!!

He does not use sexually explicit language but does still on occasion use sexually explicit imagery in his songs ("Wet circles round the toy/While u bring urself 2 joy" in Mellow from TRC, Underneath the Cream, On the Couch where he mentions 'going south', etc).

Although it is more than likely that Mani is a Jehovah's Witness, I don't think it has ever been officially stated by Prince's people, therefore that is a supposition. She might have ALWAYS been a Jehovah's Witness, in which case she would not have 'become' a Witness through Larry Graham's influence.

Also not mentioning the new album by name is merely an omission, it would only have been incorrect if he'd given the wrong name.

Most of the rest of your blurb is personal to you and therefore not relevant to the 'correctness' or 'incorrectness' of the news report and will only serve to make you sound like a loony Prince fanatic.

First of all Prince has not admitted publicly that he is married or he is a Jehovah's Witness , although it is pretty obvious to those of us who follow his career that this is true, they are not facts therefore cannot be reported in the news story without mentioning the fact that these are rumors at this point. It is actually good reporting NOT to mention these two things until they are confirmed.

Also, how the hell do you know that Prince is "happily married" with a more "spiritual level" connection? You are a nut to be sending an email to someone stating these things about someone you do not know personally and about stuff he has never said. You are clearly dillusional and need mental help.

WHEW!!! I should have had the org peruse my little two sentence e-mail that I sent to the WALL STREET JOUNAL for their recent article. Now I wonder if i sounded too fanatical when stating the reporter did a good job and mentioning Warren Buffet in the same sentence.

I understand, one must be objective and not subjective when responding.
