I was listening to "Head" today on CD. In today's world of the "horror" of Janet Jackson's boob and Howard Stern fines can some past Prince songs be played on the radio today? Can you say "head" on the radio today? Are there Prince songs that would still be banned from radio in 2004?

maybe "head" now has a new clean definition that passes the fcc or maybe the fcc is just being very arbitrary in their crackdown? Who knows.
However, I know I would RIGAMORT if he ever performed it again in concert or the original Darling Nicki.

The FCC's PMS inspired reaction about Janet and Stern wouldn't exist if this weren't an election year and the incumbent's administration didn't want to contrive smoke screens to obscure real issues that aren't being dealt with in America.

I also find it interesting that over the years Pink Floyd, John Cougar Mellencamp, and Alice In Chains songs can be played with "bullshit," "shit," and "fucked up" being heard loud and clear on mainstream radio.

When "Erotic City" was new I heard it all the time without anything cut out, but that didn't last long. I think it was because a lot of people thought it was "funk" instead of "fuck." With music it SEEMS that subject matter is less of an issue than curse words, depending on how far the innuendo goes, I guess. So I'm wondering why the above mentioned performers get away with it. Surely it can't be some sort of double standard.
