So evidently 'Dear Mr Man' is the best song on the album. Seeing all the views on here about the album, and in particular looking at the favourite 3 tracks thread, it seems the org likes Dear Mr. Man the most of all the tracks on Musicology.
Nearly all fans, it would seem, consider this at least in their top 3 if not their number 1. So there u have it. A new Prince classic? Or simply the most interesting, well put-together all round track on an album which appears to be a mixed bag? | |

From my perspective, the majority like Dear Mr. Man the most, think A Million Days would be the best choice for second single, and overall think Musicology is a good, but not great Prince album.
That's good enough for me. The thing is, I have a tendency to like newer Prince albums more than most ppl here. While a lot think TGE was overproduced or that Rave was a total mess, I love the former and really like the latter. So I'm thinking I'll really like Musicology. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

According to the 'top three' thread started yeterday(although pretty unscientific) people generally seem to prefer 'Illusion, Coma ...' and 'Dear Mr. Man'. followed by 'On The Couch' and 'Call My Name', with 'Life O' The Party' getting the fewest 'shout outs' (to date).

I agree it's one of the best songs but i also like Illusion, Coma, Pimp & Circumstance...shit i like a lot of songs  | |
