Hi everyone, this is my first 'New Topic' post.

It's about a fake Prince-song I downloaded, called Kiss My Ass (rare) (a very un-Prince title; way too blunt for his vocabulaire)

I was wondering if anyone else ever heard this song.

It features some Princy gimmicks in order to fool the listener.

* the lead vocals are pitched down a bit in an effort to get the benefit of the doubt

* the lyrics are about sex ("suck my ....")

* the singer repeats a falsetto "oo-hoo" throughout the song

* drumcomputer and synthesized horns

It is really very funny (and terribly bad) and I will certainly not kiss the ass of the maker of this song

I downloaded it as part of an NPGMC-pack.
(however it lasts only 1:26 min.- the other half is simply abscent - I would love to hear the rest of this song, even though I do not expect anything other than I mentioned above)

Anyway, now enough of me and my thoughts.

This isn't a "fake" prince song. I have a version of it that is like 5 or 6 minutes long and there is a verse that Prince sings in his normal voice. Overall, I think the song is pretty kick ass, but if you've only got the first 1 1/2 minutes then I understand why you would think that it's a fake. Try to get the longer version if you can.....it's WAY better!

Just out of curiosity: Was it actually labeled as a "fake" Prince song??? Does Prince not want to admit his involvment in it I wonder.....?????
