Just got back from the screening.I was really impressed with the whole deal.Prince really packed an enthusiastic Staples Center and an enthusiastic REgal theatre!!

Prince is the genius of all musical geniuses and the pimp of all pimps!!This was one of the smartest shows I have ever seen and so mindbogglingly on point it is ridiculous!!The musicianship,the showmandship,the fun,and childlike faces Prince was making!!THis was a man on TOP of his game.

There was every kind of person in the theatre.There did seem to be a large contingent of gangstas and/or wanksters and old school players.These guys all killed me!!!They came in all hard and shit and then you could hear them screaming and hollering all through the event.This one guy in a double-breasted plum nylon suit was testifying his ass off and making orgiastic exclamations like,"hurt 'emboy,hurt 'em playa!","stop toying with us!" and some unintelligible grunting and vocal expressions.

Prince had EVERY person in the place captivated.It was almost like being at teh show.This was some fun stuff.

The guitar work was ....I cannot even articulate.The band is just badass.Even the hip hop heads were like,"damn!" when he was playing.

This is one of the smartest moves Prince or any other artist has ever made.He sold out a show in LA and sold out thetares elsewhere for the same show.Then he gets attention to the new music by giving away the cd.The most important thing is that people know he is still making music and is still vital.He looked and sounded energized.There was joy on his face .And the music selection was smart as hell.He really knew what he was doing!!

All I ask now is a dvd of this show and a live cd of the show.I gotta experience that again.This is one of his best shows.And I think it is more successful than any other I've seen or heard.I say that because if the goal was to educate fringe listeners,remind old or ex-listeners,appeal to women sensitivity and refresh lust loyalty,show that masculinity is still cool,play pimp for a minute or two,be a first level bandleader,appeal to other musicians and artists,and appease lovers of all sorts of musical styles,show the trendies that you are hipster praise worthy,show the world that old school and old school values and work ethic are cool,blend the races,and teach without preaching,then ,Musicology accomplished all that and made you bob yo' head,killa.

Prince is that man.He really should release this show.This was something that the sternest of critics could not deny.This reaffirmed that no one is on Prince's level live.He's the real deal,y'all.You better appreciate him while he's here.I felt like a kid again tonight!

He asked,"What's my name?!"Yeah,we screamed it out.

So amazing. My only gripe: "Close your mind. Open the Bible." A very dangerous combination. He's lucky he's the baddest muscial force on the planet.
