Exodus is nine years old today March 27, 1995 - the NPG release Exodus in the UK (and elsewhere in Europe?).
Damn, that album is funky. That has grown on me a lot over time. Apart from Cherry, Cherry, which still pretty much sucks. Who can beat songs like The Exodus Has Begun, Return Of The Bump Squad, Hallucination Rain, New Power Soul, Get Wild, Big Fun... some great stuff on this album. As for the segues, I could do without most of them, although they added a few great quotes to my friends' repertoire, and over time I have come to believe that the Mashed Potato Girl story (actually called 'Segue' on the album, placed after 'Mashed Potato Girl Intro) is one of the best things on the album. Is the other character on the Mashed Potato Girl story played by Tony M? I can't think who else that would be. Sure sounds like Tony's voice. | |
