Some lip-wagging fam friend of mine swears up and down that "Dreamin' About U" is Prince confessing to some kind of (non-narcotic) addiction (sex? porn?). I don't really hear that--I thought it was a pretty innocent ode to daydreaming about a lover--but I just doublechecked the lyrics and there's some odd imagery in there. Still not convinced. Anyone else heard this theory?

This was definately one of the standout tracks on Emancipation, I love the way it starts out as a whisper, and the music is so hypnotic.

Definately one of his better songs of the post-WB days.

It's definitely about masturbation

I love that simple little guitar riff that plays throughout a lot of the song. I really like this song and did from the beginning. Everytime I hear it I am transformed back to 1997 when I would listen to this song in my cold apartment. Now, I gotta go listen to it.
