100% Guaranteed CD different from Sony version

The packaging will OBVIOUSLY be different, e.g. top notch case, it will say Sony, no "promotional copy," etc.

So, we all have rare collector CDs that will probably sell for big bucks on Ebay; I'm happy with keeping mine though. But, it is pretty cool, that if someone wanted, and was short of cash, they could consider a Prince concert an investment; I'm sure an unopened copy of this would sell for prime money to someone who couldn't get it.

Plus, it's a great album worthy of it's title.

I'll definitely buy the retail version when it comes out, too.

But a different case wont make it collectible unless ift is a totally different cover. And the real difference would be the content. If it is te same exact music, man will not care abut the retail version.

I will buy it regardless though because I am hard core 4 ever

people know we are all hoping for a different version and thus are enjoying winding us up.

The org. is so damn slow, can we move onto the same servers that NPGMC now use lol

The thing that concerns me is this: everyone seems to be assuming that he is going to put something special into the retail version besides the packaging. He hasn't said anything of the sort. As soon as it drops, people will be bitching that they were "promised" extra stuff on the retail version.

Of course, if he does put extra stuff on it, then people will be bitching about having to buy it (when they got the thing for free), so he really can't win. The way I choose to look at it is this: regardless of whether there are extras or not, it was incredible for P to give copies out for free to his supporters at the concerts and screenings. This makes up for so many blunders he's had in the past ("Crystal Ball", for instance) and shows he's starting to learn from his mistakes.

If everyone who attends the concert gets a copy, and fans attending multiple concerts get multiple copies, and this tour goes worldwide, hundreds of thousands of people are gonna have this version of the album.

So it's not gonna be very rare, is it?

In fact the retail version may end up being rarer!

Why is the org so slow at the moment? They should get us all to donate a quid to help them get on a better server!

The key is UNOPENED. Unopened will be RARE.

this cd isn't gonan be worth 50 cents in a month.

there are gonna be at least a million copies around

hardly what you would call rare...

do the math

most venues are 15-20,000 people

for 50 dates

50 X 15,000 = 750,000

and thats just a rough idea...

Plus more tour dates to be added + including larger venues ...

these things will be the like bloody tribbles
Hard to believe I've been on the org for over 25 years now!

while there will be a few idiots that are willing to pay big bucks for the music before it is released, the really big Prince fans who like to trackj down every conceivable variant to complete their collection are probably going to the show and will get the cd anyways, so the price won't stay high for long.

You didn't get the CD for free, if you bought a ticket. Even the movie tickets were $15.

But, hey.

You clearly have no clue what is considered a rare Prince collectable.
