This picture has been sent out with Sonys announcement yesterday, but it didn't say Cover anywhere...just a picture up to now...

Is the Rainbow Children cover not one of his best. I rank it right up there with Sign O the times, Purple Rain, Around the World 1999, and Parade.

If that is the Musicology single cover, Prince needs to borrow my glasses because it looks horrible to me.

This is exactly why they discontinued TypeStyler ten years ago.

The Black Album has a better cover than Musicology, I'm afraid.

On the other hand, this is the portrait-picture he has been pimpin' in recent times, so he must like it very much. I think
it is too underlit to be the cover for this CD. In recent years, he had some nice artwork --- 'The rainbow children' comes
to mind first, but 'Xpectation' had nice artwork, 'Rave un2 the joy fantastic' wasn't that bad and I liked the portrait
drawing on 'New Power soul'.

This is even worse than Emancipation, but hey, it's ultimately about the music. I am sure a good fan will make decent artwork!

the album cover is that picture of him with a white background, the one on the posters...

that cover may be the promo cover for the single, but i doubt that too.

I know we've been subjected to some pretty chintzy album cover art in the past few years, but this thing has GOT to be a fake. I mean, there's no way this could be the visual representation of all the slick comeback work he's been doing so far this year. I'm sure the portrait of Prince is going to be the main element on the album cover, but all they've gotta do is leave the white background and add the title in a simple, tasteful font. That background and Word Art is hideous. It reeks of amateur Photoshop noodling. Yuck. Gross. Hate it. I pray it's a fake.

From what I hear, the album is supposed to be released with a series of different album covers, in the spirit of Beck and Tori Amos.

That can’t be the cover. Where was this found? Isn’t the cover just his face on a white background? Isn’t there a picture of him sleeping with it? And wasn’t it held up on Ellen (by the DJ) or something? Not saying that it can't be...but it really looks like a fake.

But then again Crystal Ball Artwork anyone? That was insulting.

I really hope this isn't the cover. It's dark and somber -- something I never would have associated with "Musicology" or his recent mood. It doesn't seem like the kind of image that would entice a buyer to pick it up.
