AS WE KNOW, PRINCE HAS MADE ALOT OF MUSIC VIDEOS BUT FOR ME, ON THE WHOLE, MOST ARE PRETTY AVERAGE. BUT SOME ARE GREAT THOUGH!

HERE ARE MY FAVOURITES...

1) "CREAM", love the dancing, the stage, the vibe! Everyone looks so happy to be in that video and the choreography is great! I also love the long version where Prince and NPG are hanging around a train station, the atmosphere is very fun, very early 90's which is why it's also nostalgic for me, as i remember when that video first dropped!

2) "BATDANCE", an amazing song, with incredible tempo changes and guiter solos, anyway the video (like Cream) shows prince doing choreographed dance, which is great. The video concept is awsome and very weird and funny, particually all the jokers dancing

3)"7", Prince pulls off a silly looking head thing(!) as only he can, he actually looks cool! His arm movements are actually fun to watch and cool to try and do (for me)! Whole video has a cool 'refreshing' vibe to it. Also Mayte looks very beutiful too

4) "Thieves in the temple", the long version is odd, but seeing prince doing some NewJack moves is funny, he's not that bad really. Fun, if unusual video

5) "Gangster glam", this is from the "Gett off" home video released in '91! The song is very funky and fun and has a real friendly loose jamming atmosphere to it, as it all sounds improvised whih is proberly why its so cool! The video is also cool as it just shows Prince and some of the NPG having simple summer fun at paisly park, no serious concepts or messages here. This video always reminds me of summer, which i love (proberly because Tony M. says "SummerTime...") and the song and video capture summer and that time period perfectly for me. I remember showing this video to friends at the time (I got "Gett off" video, or my Mum did when it first came out) who were not prince fans and they loved this video saying they didn't realize how cool Prince and his band were!

6) "Call the law"- same summer vibe feeling as "gangster glam", but song is also cool aswell!

THEIR ARE PLENTY MORE I LIKE, BUT THESES ARE MY FAVOURITE FOR NOW, NOTE THAT THEY ALL COME FROM THE SAME ERA, MAYBE THATS DUE TO THE MUSIC OF THAT TIME, BUT ALSO MAYBE BECAUSE IT SEEMED THAT PRINCE (LIKE OTHER ARTISTS BACK THEN), KNEW THAT HE HAD TO PUT ALOT MORE EFFORT INTO HIS VIDEOS BECAUSE NO OFFENCE, BUT HIS EARLY PERFROMANCE STYLE VIDEOS, PARTICUALLY AS THEY WERE NOT LIVE, WERE BORING!

i've never seen the prettyman vid

1. When Doves Cry. At the beging and the end, Prince is in the hot tub. (althought, I found out later, he wore a loincloth. Accoding to the show "Pop-Up" on VH1). But, the dancing is good!

2. Kiss. Is also my favorit sexest video. He sang the part (I know how to undress me.) and lifted his shirt.

3. Batdance. Prince struted his stuff by dancing and playing his gutiar. oh yes, and his alto ego, Gemini.

4. Sexualty. At the end, he took off/stripped his shirt to let his body to be free. Sweet

5. Dirty Mind. Dancing and sing in his black bikkine, leg warmers, trenchcoat and boots.

IMO, 90% of Prince video's SUCK!. They normally don't do the song justice. But here are my top 5 in order of preference.

WHEN 2 R IN LOVE(the sheer audacity)

I really like KISS too, but I have no Idea where it should go on this list. I'm straight, and honestly it gets a little fruity, but the dancing is great and that chick is hot. I think it also sticks in my mind cuz it's one of the first Prince videos I remember seeing(I'm only 25,) and my mom loved the song and watched the video whenever it came on.



THE ONE gets an honerasble mention for all the BOOTY along with I WANNA MELT WITH YOU(which was constantly on Playboy TV)
