EvilWhiteMale is right. All the haters should unite. All the pathetic souls that are SO pissed that Prince is still here. Still looking so good and sounding so good. For all of you that expected Prince to crumble up and die when he left Warner Bros. and the hits stopped coming, hate on! After over 25 years making music, Prince isn't supposed to show up and blow everyone else off the stage. His musicianship is supposed to have gotten worse, not better. How dare he be so happy, with a beautiful wife by his side. By now, he should have cracked up, like Whitney or Mariah or dare I say it, like MJ.

FIGHT THE FAMS!!!! Why does music have to be shitty just because you don't like it? Prince is capable of so many different styles of music that it's impossible to please everyone, all the time. I don't like everthing he puts out(see New Power Soul) but I do enjoy Musicology the song, ONA and TRC, as well as his critically praised 80's work. He's probably not going to put out music that equals, or comes close to his greatest work anymore and I'm OK with that because it's still better than at least 75% of what qualifies as new music today. After all, how many Rock/Pop/R&B artists put out their greatest albums when they are in their 40's. | |

I respect your opinion but I just don't understand why you choose to post it here on a suppossed fan site. To me it makes as much sense as an atheist going into a church on sunday and screaming why you don't believe in God. You have your right to say that and believe it but why would you say that there? Why do you say anti new Prince music things here? I have always wanted to ask you that because I just don't get it. Now no one can argue your Prince knowledge (I will agree that it is formidable) and you go to plenty of concerts, but honestly you don't seem to like anything that Prince has done for quite a while. It's all subjective anyway, isn't it? Music, movies, fashion, beauty...I still can't figure out why everyone thinks 'Chicago' was a good movie or Nicole Kidman is beautiful. A co-worker, knowing I was a Prince fan, went out of her way to tell me she'd heard the new song and that it was great. Another acquaintance absolutely loves 'Pink Cashmere' and I don't like it at all. Led Zeppelin made a horrible James Brown influenced song, but they still rock. And Lord have mercy, what was that crap that D'Angelo put out last year that had Prince supposedly jealous? Can't believe he had the nerve to call Prince out on an album that had three good songs in the middle of a lot of unintelligible, unfinished noise. Different strokes... There are people who haven't liked one note Prince has played in 10 years who still post daily about him to explain what they think he does wrong and what an horrible individual he is. We all know people that are like that about other stuff... It's your close friend who can't seem to stop talking about how bad someone else is. At first you let him blow steam, but then he mentions how much he hates this guy daily for days and days till one day you just hang up in the middle of another of his rants.
