- It indeed looks cheap. I miss those days where a Prince album had a special care about cover art. SOTT´s cover is timeless The covers for Sign, Parade and even Around the World....were briliant. Truly arty Perosnally I'm more concerned about the music on this disc. So it was the Musicology cd Prince was holding in this pic. I saved this picture on Jan. 7th, and NOW the artwork is official.

Ever since they stopped making vinyl albums, I never really cared that much about the artwork on a CD cover. Maybe just cause I'm from the old school or something but, to me, a CD cover just isn't big enough to make a difference to me one way or the other as to what the artwork is like. I mean hell, look at Pearl Jams cd covers.
If I was Prince, I don't think I would put a lot of effort (or money) into the cover art either. It just doesn't make the same impact anymore like it used to, in my opinion. "You've got to believe in something... why not believe in me?" | |

Just as long as the album cover alludes to the music being made by Prince!! The music? I have only heard 2 songs and part of a third so I will pass on judging for now, and I always have a different interpretation when finally getting the cd esp when I first hear them MP3. | |

It just doesn't make the same impact anymore like it used to, in my opinion. - Well, I agree that Cd covers are very small, but I think a guy like Prince should try to make covers with more good taste. David Bowie and Pearl Jam make some very good ones. It doesn´t need to be that expensive. TRC cover was real nice. There are lots of design companies that wouldn´t charge a lot. I just dont think he should come with a Microsoft Paint cover, like someone mentioned. I would prefer a white cover with the title of the album. |
