Now that prince has signed with sony will..... .....will WB be pissed off, and bring out another "hits"/ " very best of..." album just 2 get at him, and take all the money???
Now that PRINCE is back in the media, wouldn't this be a great chance 2 bring in a load of money by selling another "very best of.." again? Keenmeister |

WB can't take all the money because Prince is still the copyright holder of the SONGS. I don't know what they'll do or if they'll do anything, but now is the best time for Prince to collaborate with them on potential remasters to reissue a lot of his back catalog. They might own the masters, but Prince's contract with them in 1996 specified that they only had the right 2 release "the vault... old friends 4 sale" and ONE new compilation of his hits. They did so 2 years ago, so they just can't release any new compilation without a new deal with P. Still, that damn "very best of" sales very well, u know... | |

You can bet that WB will capitalize on this somehow. It will be great for fans, but maybe not so hot for Prince. With Purple Rain's 20th anniversary around the corner, expect a deluge at some point from WB with all kinds of "new" stuff for us to consume. | |
