Musicology horn riff and Madhouse 5

I've been trying to place the horn riff at the end of Musicology (on the Leno performance, it's going on when P says "Public service announcement" -- not sure exactly where it occurs in the studio version as I've only seen the video once). It's the same horn riff that's in Madhouse 5, at the 33 second mark.

I know it's not a new thing for pieces of songs to resurface in other songs...I was just glad to find the song where I'd heard those horns before!

Usually when people say stuff like this, there is a large similarity, but they aren't the same. This time though, U hit the nail on the head. U R SOOOO RIGHT! I dug up my old Madhouse 8 record, slapped the A-side down and after some mumbles and what-not(u know what I'm talkin about) it was there! He has lots of riffs on those albums that could be recycled as hooks and stuff. He should tap that resource some more. I remember at the Emancipation concert, he threw six into Get Yo Groove on. That was tight too!

Hi mom this is Jimbo ...

How ya doin' sexy?

Yeah, just about 30-33 seconds to 40 seconds of the short little jazz outburst ... you can sense that the riff is a modified updated riff in Musicology.

What a great catch. Whenever I listen to Madhouse 8 I have to loop and loop and loop FIVE many times.

I'm suprised no1 has yet commented on the similarity between the keyboard line near the end of "musicology" and that on "my computer" - just me or could almost be a direct sample?

I thought this also right after hearing it on Leno nod
"Hyperactive when I was small, Hyperactive now I'm grown, Hyperactive 'till I'm dead and gone"
__ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ ___

"Midnight is where the day begins"
