Outkast's induction speech sort of a dissapointment when i first heard outkast would be partaking in the induction of prince to the hall i thought it would be cool, i felt it would demonstrate prince's musical and artisitic relevance to current artists, prince has been around for 26 years and outkast's lackluster speech did nothing to mark this huge occasion, big boi mentioned his uncle being like prince "with all the ladies" andre 3000 talked about growing up to prince, they hardly touched on his legacy, if you grew up admiring prince, shit join the fucking club, i could have went up there and said that, i felt chirs rock on the 97 essence awards and stevie wonder on the 97 naacp image awards gave far better speeches it one some may consider to be lesser events. outkast's speech seemed like a conversation some prince fans would have outside a concert ,not a prepared statement to usher one of your musical heroes into one of music's highest honors, i know some of you have echoed similar sentiments and some of u may dissagree, all in all their speech was diminishing, alicia was cool though

I agree. They were too busy being cool. Someone else on the Org compared Big Boi to a kid who didn't do his homework. Those guys might be very creative musically, but they came up short at the Hall of Fame.
They should have used their creativity. Big Boi could have rapped something, and Andre 3000 could have written a kick-a*s poem. But they obviously didn't put ten minutes of thought into it...or they were so intimidated they didn't know what to say.

You're right, Outkast's induction was kinda forgotten after Prince's showstopping guitar solo. From that perspective, it really doesn't matter what they said. Prince's guitar did all the talking.
