Does anyone else think these are way too similar to be two different Prince album covers?

Shit! Da Silva has a song called "Cinnamon girl".
Now they gonna think we took it from Prince,
just like Jesse Johnson's "Shocadelica",lol

Illusion, Coma, Pimp & Circumstance?

I had the ILLUSION I would get with Prince. This fantasy took place in the COMA of my mind. The little purple PIMP, pumped me for all that I was worth to maintain his lifestyle and hairdo while he dated barbie dolls. And now, I'm suppose to feel sorry for his CIRCUMSTANCEs? Of course, I do... just like an abused wife always going back for more.

Just something I thought up. This title has so many possibilities, I can write a novel based on it. I think this is going to be my favorite song on Musicology and I haven't even heard it.

We'll see what happens with this - it sounds legitimate, but who knows. There could also be a hidden track . . .

What happened to U Want Me?

And, it's been mentioned that the one for sale (in stores) would be different than the one handed out at concerts. This could account for the short tracklisting. If that is the case, 3 or 4 tracks would probably be changed on both albums.

What Do U Want Me 2 Do is one of the worst Prince songs ever. It doesn't bode well for the quality of this album if that song made the cut.

I love that Neil Young song! I think it would be a good but predictable cover. Who knows. Prince's "Whole Lotta Love" was impressive. Can't wait for the CD. Even if I do see him live it will be on the June 20th. So how many people are going to see him live and buy the CD?

I could not DISagree with u more. I love that song, one of his best "Prince-sounding" songs in ages. It totally has a Dorothy Parker feel to it. It was the one of the few new songs on NPGMC that I actually wanted to hear again. Just my opinion bro, but I think you could not be more wrong.

Oh GAWD and it's only my opinion as well, but even *I* can't stomach WDUWM2D! Horrible, horrible song. I mean....it could be improved upon, no doubt. Whatever, it's 3/4 of the way in, and I'll sing along to it probably a few times before I die, ya know? As for the rest, I'm pretty stoked. smile

Whatever you guys say and speculate about the record from soundbits here and there - I am really excited about getting a new Prince album - and - as I don't hunt down bootlegs anymore - all those songs will be new for me, which I feel is kind of cool (the same feeling as in 84 when I just could not wait for the new record to hit the record-store - mind you, there were no digital downloads or file-swappings, no CD-Rs, and very few bootlegs... well, almost the same feeling, as I sure enough now won't run to the store after school as I did then biggrin ).

And - Musicology (single) is certainly groovy, and would fit in well with a joint of old skool funk - but I doubt impact on the radio... But - cool video...

And to all the naysayers - be happy you get such a lot of music from the man - if you were a fan of other bands that release music every 3-5 years, you surely would not like all of it either, and be even more disappointed then. Cause I bet you there are at least 2-3 tracks on every Prince album that you just lluuuuve.

The songs I've heard live: Musicology, Life O'The Party & On The Couch are all REALLY good live...so here's hoping the studio versions sound great too.

Us Aussies were lucky to hear these songs so long ago....double cool!
