'Musicology has no format or boundaries' quote Prince

What does this mean.... ' No format or boundaries'

Am I reading to much into Princes statement concerning Musicology, is he refering to the art of Musicology, or the cd Musicology. No format could explain multiple versions of the album (hence the version we get at the concert could be radically different than the sony version - hence 'No format or boundaries'... This could also explain why we still don't have a track list... which is strange in itself....

On the other hand Boundaries could describe multiple musical styles...

What does everyone think... excitment is mounting....

The full quote sounds to me like he's going for multiple musical styles in the one album. But then that's nothing new for him or shed loads of artists.

But some of the quote sounds like Prince knowingly talking crap, with a wink. I mean, "school's now in session" and all. lol

Yes

Just before Prince releases music or tours, he comes out with these relatively meaningless statements which are supposed to make the forthcoming release or event sound innovative, ground-breaking or full of intrigue.

If you try to read too much into it, you'll find yourself expecting way too much, and end up disappointed.
