Firstly, that guitar solo on the RRHOF -- oh man, I've been waiting for Prince to do that on mainstream TV for a long time! We saw it on the Undertaker Sessions and various underground outtakes -- but this gave u chills when u knew others were watching.

Now -- with Prince's return to the mainstream, including Sony taking his song to the Radio (we'll see to what extent), I wonder if Prince still feels that "if its popular then its not free" --- he seemed to be anti-radio just a few years ago, and pretty anti-mainstream -- but maybe that was just rationalization at work. Maybe he's viewing this upsurge as "giving the people what they need." Whatever -- I love it, people can stop makin fun of me for liking an outdated 80's star cause they've been ignorant to his vast work up-to-date.
