I can't wait. I don't really know what to expect. For me, TRC was great, and for a long time I felt I would be disappointed with any album that came in the 5 or 6 years after. TRC was the album I'd hoped for through the bleak late 90s and early 00s. Right now I'm just looking forward to new music.

So are u going to download it to your computer and listen to the files? Or are u, like me, not going to listen to it until u have it on a disc, in your player, ready to play all the way through without interruption?

It's gotta be the latter right?

It seems to me that this album, with all the ideas being thrown around about its nostalgia and obvious influences and musical references, could be just a nice fun record to make u feel good. I don't know if the album has to be deep and groundbreaking at this time to be worthwhile. I think I'd quite like a nice Prince album of feel good songs with some of those lovely Prince vocals.

Maybe I'm only saying this to prepare myself for the fact that this album may be a little lite and disappointing, in the way Emancipation and all that High tripe is. That'd be my worst nightmare.

I'd just like it to sound sweet and well-played, with some crisp guitar licks, and have lots of falsetto. I could live with a summertime feel-good album, and of course, it's always summertime here.

i'll probably listen to it once, post a review here, then send the cd to a friend.

By the way, it's not strictly 7 days yet, but here it's Monday morning 7:45am so it feels like a week from now.

It's gonna be available for download next Monday at the club, but if ya want the jewel case and the liner notes and all that good stuff, I'm guessing it won't be hitting the wrecka stows till June.

7 days until the download? Hmm, I'd add one or two because their server is gonna crash so bad...

Available for download (and probably mail order) on Monday.

It should be in stores to mid-April.

And from what I've heard, the Sony distributed retail version will be slightly different to the
NPGMC version that will be given away at concerts (rumor has it there will be an extra track
or two... but that is just a rumor at the moment). What appears more definite is that the
packaging will differ. My guess is that the NPGMC version will be in some kinda card sleeve
(maybe like TRC or ONA...piano) whereas the version in stores will be in a regular jewel case.
