Today at school, I heard some of my students talking about the hall of fame show. So I asked if they watched it - and they said yeah, so I asked what they thought of Prince. One student said, "his guitar solo on the Beatles tune rocked." Others agreed with him. Another said after that, "Prince? yeah that was awesome!"

I thought these kids would say, "Who's Prince?"

I am surprised that they are even paying attention to music of a previous generation. Cool.

Hey cool! You're a teacher too, huh? Yeah, I'm always pretty amazed when I hear of teenagers who are actually familiar with his music and like it. Most of my students are AA, so they're pretty familiar with most of his stuff going way back due to their mothers' being fans from back in the day.

Man...I felt old after I typed that. LOL!
