How about that guitar solo?!

Any non-believers who saw this must be converted by now. Did you see the reaction George's son had? "Where's Prince? I want to give him a hug." Unbelievable.

I wonder if Rolling Stone would like to rethink their position on Prince not being in the top 100 guitarists of all time now.

I know that's just ridiculous, he should be in the Top 10 at least! Man he kicked ass.

I was thinking the exact same thing, immediately after seeing the clip on Vh1.com. I could NOT believe he wasn't in the Top 100, let alone the top 20.

I hope he starts putting more guitar work on his albums.

Yeah, it's at the very end. Thing is, the broadcast is aired twice, back to back. So directly after that performance, it's more Prince because he opens the show.

That guitar solo was unbelievable!!! Words cannot express Prince's brilliance. I have family and friends calling me saying "now I understand what all the fuss is about". That solo will easily become a rock standard!! By the way, the guitar solo during the ever-so-funky performance of Sign O The Times was flawless as well.

Wow. Unbelievable. Can't stop watching it, even after I shut off VCR I got turn it back on again. The look on Petty's face when Prince is falling backwards is just cake. I think maybe the "acoustic" brigade up front might've felt he'd been hamming it up and stealing a little spotlight from Harrison's song... which is Exactly what I would have hoped to witness, and just what they should have expected from The Kid - at any age! If I had to complain, the first guitarist's solos were a little higher in the mix, Prince's had been turned down into the backround more... but that 'decent' guitarist totally gave the setup for Prince to come in and look like a god. Totally ace - perfect!
